About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Account Director to join a leading global sports and entertainment consultancy team, delivering world-class sponsorship and partnership strategies.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on activating two global Formula 1 team partnerships for a major financial services brand. You’ll act as a trusted senior advisor, driving strategic direction, overseeing activation plans, and ensuring best-in-class execution across all projects.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll manage key European client relationships, guide a talented client servicing team, and unlock the full value of global sponsorship assets.

 

What You’ll Do

Client Leadership & Strategy

Build and nurture senior-level client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor
Lead client strategy and direction, anticipating needs and identifying opportunities
Develop a deep understanding of client business goals and competitive landscape
Drive innovative, insight-led sponsorship activations that deliver measurable impact
Own and manage client activation budgets with full accountability


Project & Account Management

Oversee delivery of all retained and project work across accounts
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and above expectations
Lead resource planning, identifying and resolving challenges proactively
Set clear timelines, expectations, and standards across the team


Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing client team
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-energy team environment
Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and structured development plans
Champion excellence in client servicing across all levels


Growth & Thought Leadership

Play a key role in new business development and pitch leadership
Contribute to thought leadership and industry presence
Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and webinars


Operational Excellence

Oversee financial management of accounts, including budgeting and reconciliation
Ensure accurate reporting on time, resources, and project delivery
Maintain high standards of process, governance, and accountability


What We’re Looking For

You’re a strategic, commercially minded leader with a passion for sport, entertainment, and sponsorship marketing. You thrive in fast-paced environments and love delivering standout work that drives real results.

 

Key experience and skills:

Strong experience in sponsorships and partnership marketing
Proven track record in managing large-scale client accounts
Experience across sports and entertainment activations
Background working with financial services or payment sector brands
Formula 1 experience is a plus (but not essential)
Outstanding client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Exceptional project management and organizational skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into action
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
